This is now mandatory to link your phone number to Aadhar card. This is issued by UIDAI or Unique Identification Authority of India. If you noticed, Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone and other operators are sending notice to link your phone number to Aadhar card as soon as possible. Otherwise, the service will be stopped to your mobile number.  After 28th February 2018, service operators will stop providing service to all mobile numbers that are not linked to Aadhar card.

The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) launched the online system to verify your phone number with Aadhar card through OTP. This method is suitable for

  • Peoples Are Living in the Different States
  • Those Who Are Handicapped Or Unable To Walk
  • For Those Customers Where Shop-Kippers Asking For Money

These peoples are unable to link their mobile number with Aadhar card. So the opt based method will solve all these problems.

How To Link mobile number with Aadhar card through Otp?

  • Visit UIDAI Website from here
  • Find and click on the ‘Verify Email/Mobile Number’ link on the homepage of the UIDAI website
  •  On the following page, fill in the Aadhaar number, mobile number and security code in the respective fields and click on ‘Get One Time Password’.
  •  You will shortly receive your Aadhaar mobile verification code in an SMS. This password is sent to the number registered with Aadhaar.
  •  Enter the password received on your mobile in the OTP field.
  • Click ‘Verify OTP’.
  • For valid entries, the next page displays the message:

“Congratulation!The Mobile Number matches with our records!”
Mobile number not registered with Aadhaar?
“Registered Mobile Number is essential to avail Aadhaar Online services,” according to the UIDAI.

  •  In case your mobile number is not registered with your Aadhaar, visit the nearest Permanent Aadhaar Centre (PAC), to link your Aadhar card.
